Chinese Brands Slash Russian Banner Ad Budgets by 70% in Late 2025: A Shift Toward Strategic Marketplace Integration
A major shift in advertising strategy is unfolding among Chinese manufacturers in the Russian market. According to Digital Budget data, banner advertising expenditures by PRC-based brands on major marketplaces plummeted from over ₽1 billion to ₽300 million by the end of 2025. Despite the drop in display ad spending, the overall presence of Chinese brands is surging. Mondiara’s market analysis notes that total marketplace integrations grew 2.4 times in H2 2025.
